Most are also listed as South American, There are a lot that have been introduced over time Asia and Africa that are now "naturalized". These include Mangos, Star Fruit, Tamarinds and Rose Apples just to name a few. For the next few weeks, enjoy the flowers that produce the fruit. Local snacks are served on all hikes, so to try a few, take a walk! Ginep Flowers(Gynip, gynyp or however you want to spell it).
